After my most recent heptaologist appointment, I needed to get some bloodwork done. I entered the lab, checked in on the tablet by the door and then the door opened behind me. A woman poked her head in and asked, in Spanish, if this was the blood test lab.

I surprised myself by answering in Spanish, and then doing my best to explain checking in on the tablet in Spanish. Written Spanish I'm ok with. Spoken Spanish, not so much...or so I thought. 

I guess the two plus years of daily Spanish lessons on Duolingo are paying off.
