[a moment] of worry

I had an appointment with my endocrinologist last week, which included a bunch of blood tests. I went back again for more (already scheduled) tests this week. 

The initial results showed things that seem troubling. I'm waiting to hear back from my doctor as to what exactly they mean. And in that waiting lived a moment of worry and what ifs. 

Quickly, however, I decided to let go of the worry and instead look forward to answers and treatments and a better understanding of what is going on with my body.
