There are some friendships in which you can not see each other for ages and then pick right up as if all that time hasn't passed. Onyx ran into such a friend at the Renaissance Faire, and almost immediately the two of them were off to explore and catch up. 

They have known each other for nearly their entire lives. It all started when an emergency childcare situation landed Fiora in my care temporarily when Onyx was three months old - and that three months turned into the years leading up to Fiora going to kindergarten. And even then, Fiora would come and play on snow days and school vacations and over the summers. 

It was great to see them reconnect and go right back to having fun together.
