At the eye doctor, as happens, the optometrist put drops in Onyx's eyes to dilate them. Apparently this caused Onyx's eyelids to be glued. I know this because they told me this approximately one hundred twenty seven times over the course of five minutes. 

Thankfully, their sibling emerged from their appointment and needed help picking out glasses, thus distracting Onyx from their plight.
