My family, which includes people related to me by blood and by heart, is just a tad ... well ... you'll see. 

When Austen was in the Emergency Department with abdominal pain the other night, I let our family group chat know. That would be the chat with me, my husband, and our children who live in our household full or part time. This is how it went (some content left out):

Time passes ... slowly....

And then Austen texted to let everyone know they were ok and we were on our way home...

Two of them were still up when we got home. Not that we're a family of insomniacs / night owls / worriers.
