[reason 93] moments of normalcy

They are just two friends, chatting and laughing and creating tiny things out of polymer clay. It's just another normal Monday.

In those moments nothing else matters. It doesn't matter that they're in a hospital room. The wheelchairs don't matter. The medical stuff doesn't matter. Illness doesn't matter, if just for those brief moments. For a while they get to push all that stuff to the background and live in that moment.

The five-ish hours in the car, the expense, the havoc wreaked on my body, the stress of driving in the city - it's all worth it for those moments of normalcy for those two amazing teens.
