[a moment] that drips of hope
[Moment 8]
As I sat, hooked up to an iv, medication with too many warnings dripping into my body, I watched the rain drip off the lamp outside the window. I took that moment to give thanks for the rain that was nourishing the earth and the medication that will hopefully be life-changing for me in six months or so.
I have always found rain showers hopeful things ... harbingers of good things to come: the sweet smell of wet earth, the wilting brought back to life, cracked soil's cravings sated. Hopefully this medication will do something similar for me.
