[a moment] that felt like christmas
Once upon a time we gathered at my parents' house, shared a dinner of chili,
and gathered around the tv to watch the livestream of A Calumet Christmas Carol.
The entire evening was wonderful. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food and the conversation during dinner. After dinner, we cleaned up. Papa made coffee and we opened the container of Christmas cookies we brought from home and settled in to watch the livestream.
We enjoyed seeing familiar faces act out this oh so familiar Christmas tale. The ghost of Christmas present was my personal favorite. And that this presentation included a love offering to some incredibly deserving organizations warmed my heart.
Sitting there, enjoying the show, laughing, sipping coffee and munching homemade cookies, it felt like Christmas.
