[reason 5] waffle helpers

(Not waffles that are helpers, but people who help with the making of the waffles. Sentient waffles are creepy.)

On the first day of 2023, I was making waffles for my family. There were eight of us in the house, so my plan was to make sixteen (or more) waffles. I was almost done with the waffle making process when I needed to take care of something in another room. One of my (adult) children volunteered to help with the waffle making process in my absence. Can you guess which pair of waffles they made?

The thing is, their waffles were absolutely perfect. They were the perfect size for me to eat. Regular sized waffles would have been too much. For some reason, both the offer of help and the cute little waffles just made my day.
