a halloween [moment]
[moment 304]
Thousands of trick or treaters descend on my parents' neighborhood on Halloween. We haven't participated in these neighborhood festivities - which include many amazingly decorated yards, and this year a live band - in a few years due to the pandemic. Our kids were happy to be back to our regular Halloween gathering, made even better by a visit from their aunt a cousins, who took over handing out candy.
There weren't many people earlier in the evening (pictured below), but a bit later there were droves of costumed people of all ages having a blast visiting each house for a treat. And, as usual, the kids sat in Gramma and Papa's living room, sorting and trading candy and putting together an offering for the family members who didn't venture out.
