There is a room in our local Emergency Department that is quite spacious and quite bright. There is tons of equipment and probably everything you might need in case of an emergency, as it were. Everything, that is, except a light switch. We heard this from every nurse that cared for Austen, along with apologies for not being able to dim the lights so they could rest seeing as it was after midnight. The room had only opened days before and soon the situation will be rectified - but for now, it's bright lights 24/7.
