[reason 88] the perks of helping

 I spent the day with my bestie so that they could do a medical test that requires them to lay down for two days. It was great to just sit and chat for a while, eat some good food, and then watch a show that I now need to binge watch.

Part of my helping duties that day was to feed the cats. One hid just about the entire time, but this shy furry friend became more and more curious about my presence as the day progressed. Eventually I was allowed to pet her, and then the most magical thing happened - she jumped up on the futon and curled up near me. 

I miss having cats, and it's always a treat when a furry friend blesses me with the opportunity to pet them.
