[reason 89] to stay up late

There are many reasons to stay up late, at least according to my kids. 

One once couldn't sleep because their sibling was thinking too loud near them. 

Midnight brownies became a thing because my kids once asked me if they could stay up late and I said only if they made brownies, so they made brownies at midnight.

More recently, I was trying to convince my children to go to bed - or at least go to their own beds so I could sleep - but they were too involved in a sudoku puzzle to go to bed. I guess that's as good a reason as any.
