MadPride [Adventure]

[Adventure 297]

This particular adventure came quite unexpectedly, as adventures often do.

My husband and I make signs. A pastor from a church in Madison, CT wanted a couple of these signs, so I met up with her. She then suggested we sell the signs at MadPride on October 16th. I spoke with Jim and we decided to take her up on the offer. The only thing was, we needed to make more signs and we were leaving for Camp Calumet in a week.

We spent the week in a frenzy of making things, packing, running errands, working, going to medical appointments, and all the usual running around that we do. We enjoyed our time at Calumet, spending much of it making more things.

Austen and Onyx made potions and dice bags and earrings and all sorts of Bees Keys Curiosities as well.

We arrived home on the 15th and had a wonderful time at MadPride on the 16th.

I got to hug the wonderful midwife who attended Eris' homebirth, chat with a lot of people, watch wonderful drag performances, listen to good music, experience touching spoken word poetry, and take in the beauty that is people being their true selves.

I look forward to similar adventures in the future!
