Wishes [Adventure]
[Adventure 112]
As children, we make wishes on shooting stars and birthday candles. As adults, we make wishes on Amazon or Pinterest or other websites.
I'm a sucker for lists and creating wishlists helps me stay organized. I have a wishlist for things we need for our time at Camp Calumet this Summer, wishlists for medical things and things for our house and games for game nights. My children have wishlists for things they want, things for gaming, things for their creative pursuits, and things for their future lives.
Not only do these lists reflect the needs and wants of our lives, but also our hopes and dreams for our lives. My medical wishlist includes a pillow, liquid iv, braces, kt tape, and cold/hot packs - and dreams of a good night's sleep and the ability to be more active. Our game night wishlist keeps family game nights happening, and allows us to see everyone's ideas of fun as they add new and interesting games to the mix. Our kids' individual wishlists help us stay in tune with their interests and allow us to purchase things we know they'll like when they need a little boost or something new to occupy their time.
It's nice to dream, to hope, to wish.
