It is because the room is one inch longer than the tile pattern laid side to side. Usually they put them next to the wall or they cut an entire course of white in half and lay 1/2" at each end. That makes it almost unnoticeable. But a true craftsman would lay 1/2" boarder all the way around just to make things look balanced.
Instead what we have here is a lazy workman or more likely a designer who cannot count or measure.
