[a moment] of sibling care

[moment 99]

We were in line outside of Cloak and Wand in Mystic, CT (well worth the wait, if you ask me). Onyx had an episode of syncope (part of their dysautonomia) in their wheelchair. Head tilted back, the sun was directly in their eyes - or would have been if they were open ... and in line, we had no place to go.

One of their (bonus) siblings came to the rescue with their beanie, which they put on Onyx's head and over their eyes so that when they came to, they wouldn't be blinded.

The person at the door who was letting the appropriate number of people in when people came out of the store to keep the store as safe as possible asked if Onyx was ok. I explained that this was "normal" for them and they'd be fine. We struck up a conversation and soon were swapping Dungeons and Dragons tales. Onyx emerged from their slumber and was only slightly confused about the magic beanie of sight protection.

This is just one example of the care our children (and bonus children) have for each other. I am incredibly blessed to have all these caring souls in my life!
