a [damaging] moment

Onyx has ADHD and Dysautonomia. They needed a letter about their Dysautonomia for camp and other things, and that letter was added to their online medical account this morning. I printed it off and Onyx read it aloud as they sat next to me on my bed. 

At one point they read, "Some children develop worse fatigue after mentally damaging activities such as reading and concentrating." 

Mentally damaging activities. Like reading, apparently, for Onyx, who seems to be proficient in the misreading of words. as the letter clearly says "mentally demanding." 

We both nearly died laughing.
