Normal [Adventure]
[Adventure 158]
This is what normal looks like, at least in my house.
All seven children were home at the same time, just like pre-covid days - our five children and two significant others. At one point most of them converged on our living room and we sat chatting for hours.
Animated conversations about upcoming graduations and performances and camp plans, memories, mental health, sexuality and gender, and so much more filled the room.
At one point I just sat there and smiled and took in the joyful sights and sounds of the evening.
At midnight we finally decided it was time to go to bed.
I look forward to many more such evenings. And to regaining the sense of normalcy that comes with togetherness.
