[Adventure] in Having Enough Pride

Something interesting happened the day before Pride Month began - we took down all but one of our pride flags and folded them up and put them in a box. Our Progress Pride flag still resides on our front door, but the windows that used to bear flags are now bare. 

But for good reason ... my middle child's girlfriend is graduating from high school and her graduation party theme is Pride. Why not loan her some flags to decorate? So down came the flags: lesbian, pansexual, bisexual, nonbinary, genderfluid, pangender, ally, rainbow, demisexual - and into the box they went. They will be used for the party, then packed up again in preparation for our two weeks at Camp Calumet.

Our Harry Potter tree will soon be transformed into a Pride tree and our small rainbow tree still stands, decorated with all sorts of queer ornaments, so we don't need more reminders that it's pride month. Besides, our house is always decorated with a rainbow of queer people.
