[Nevertheless] We Make Time to Celebrate

Sometimes you have to miss things. Important things. And you don't want to, but that's just how life works out.

We missed our friends Ashely and Josh's wedding this Fourth of July. We missed witnessing the beautiful ceremony and celebrating with them afterward. We missed sharing with them on that ever-so-important day how much we love them and how joyous it is that they chose each other forever.

Ashley and Josh, as a couple, inspire me to do better in my marriage, which happens to be twenty-three and a half years older than theirs. They have their rough patches, but always take the time for self-care before coming back together, communicating their feelings and needs and wants, and finding a way to work things out. They are willing to learn from each other, offer kindness to each other, and forgive each other. The love that they have for each other knows no bounds, and that they center their lives in their faith can only do beautiful things for them along life's path. Their giving, loving spirits help them reach beyond themselves, forming a community of friends and family who support them.

Josh and Ashley - we couldn't be there physically on your most special of days, nevertheless we celebrated with you from afar. Please know that our family held you in our hearts and prayers throughout the day. May God fill your hearts with love, patience, and humor as you continue on this journey.
