[reason 349] doctors who listen

I had an appointment with my neurologist today that was over an hour long. We discussed a ton of things, ordered a head MRI, put me on a new medication, and ... something else I can't remember. It feels so good when the doctor listens to my concerns, voices his own concerns, gets clarification not only of my medical stuff, but of what my life is like in case a medication might interfere with my abiity to function in some capacity.

I love leaving a doctor's office feeling heard and seen.

  1. Hi, Amanda!

I'm glad that you had a good appointment and felt heard by your doctor. Acknowledgement is so important in any relationship and it's great that you are receiving that from someone as important as your neurologist. Also, I like the photos on your blog. Do you take them yourself?
